All bathing areas in the municipality - Amado, Bordeira, Vale Figueiras, Arrifana, Monte Clérigo, Amoreira Mar, Amoreira Rio, Vale dos Homens and Odeceixe have excellent quality.

Aljezur is also committed to maintaining the quality of its beaches, investing in bathing surveillance and accessibility at Monte Clérigo beach.

Another characteristic of Aljezur is a large number of local producers, and it stands out for the production of the best sweet potato, of the Lira variety, is known nationally and internationally as the best in the country and in the world, with the Protected Geographic Identification (PGI) seal

Every year occurs the sweet potato festival, where you can taste everything from beer to sweets produced from sweet potatoes.

Aljezur is a national heritage that Portuguese and foreigners are proud to experience the local culture and gastronomy.
